is a proven leader in providing high-quality workforce programs and career services to the residents and employers of the Tri-County Area of Butler, Armstrong, and Indiana Counties.
We are currently seeking an individual to fill a Career Advisor position with our programs based in Armstrong County.
Four-year degree preferred; Two-year degree and related experience accepted.
Must pass criminal history, child abuse, and FBI clearances.
This position requires a close working relationship with participants to identify services needs and develop an appropriate service plan.
The Career Advisor should possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and they should be able to comprehend state and federal regulations pertaining to programmatic implementation.
The Career Advisor will play an important role in communicating with employers, education and community service providers, and will assist job seekers with the services necessary to enter or re-enter the workforce.
Computer proficiency is necessary to maintain databases, utilize an on-line data management system, and complete reports.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
